President Buhari's New Appointment

GOVERNANCE OF THE LIVING BY THE DEAD - A BUHARI INNOVATION

I remember when PDP conducted their last Convention and the name of a dead former gov Engr Kure popped up as a delegate from Niger state. I recall the glee with which Buharists and Buharideens played this up and laughed themselves hoarse. I laughed with them too cos it was funny! It showed a uselessly pre-arranged nonsense.

Well today, the joke is on Buhari and his band of brainless bumpkins as he has appointed a dead man into public office to govern the living in Nigeria. Did I say ONE dead man? No, Buhari has appointed at least TWO dead men into public office in Nigeria! Hilarious? Well, save your gallows humour first until you confirm the appointments for yourself.

President Buhari has appointed LATE Sen. Francis Okpozo who died in 2016 as Chairman of the board of the Nigeria Press Council. The man was even 82yrs (like Nigeria's ambassador to the US) when he died.

And you know the crazy thing? This same Buhari sent a message of condolence to the family of the same Francis Okpozo when he died last year only to appoint him this year!!!! Hahahahaha!

Also, President Buhari has appointed LATE Donald Ugbaja into the board of the Consumer Protection Council. The late retired DIG of Police died in November this year.

So you see how much of a non-government you have? See for yourself? Only under Buhari (someone who can qualify as an 'ancestor' himself) are the dead governing the living.

You're alive, you're young and capable and you belong to APC...but the govt you can die for think the dead are better managers of your life than you the living...and you will open your mouth on Facebook to campaign for the same govt? Make I hear...M

GAME PREVIEW

Lionel Messi Barcelona

For Real Madrid and Barcelona, there is no better measuring stick than this match.
The Champions League remains the ultimate goal, of course, but such has been the dominance of these two teams in Europe over the past decade that beating the other one is often a good indicator of forthcoming continental success.
When Barca conquered the world under Pep Guardiola, they went on one stretch of six wins and a draw against Madrid in La Liga until Jose Mourinho finally cracked the code.
Los Blancos have not been as dominant through their own golden spell but a 5-1 aggregate win in the latest Supercopa de Espana was representative of their far superior 2016-17 campaign.
Barca have been able to bounce back under Ernesto Valverde, however, and come into this match as league leaders.
That will only heighten its intrigue as the Blaugrana face the sternest examination yet of their renewed belief that they will be in the running for top honours this season.

I WANT TO PLAY IN THE WORLD CUP AND ENYEAMA IS MY IDOL, REVEALS FRANCIS UZOHO

The 19-year-old goalkeeping sensation would love to make his World Cup bow in Russia following his impressive debut against Argentina
As one of the most promising graduates to come out of the famed Aspire Academy, Francis Uzoho who now plays for Deportivo La Coruna is already being tipped for superstardom.
Born October 28, 1998, the goalkeeper represented Nigeria at the 2013 Fifa U17 World Cup – as a backup for Dele Alampasu.

When many thought he had gone into oblivion, Uzoho announced himself to the footballing world at just 18 keeping a clean slate in his LaLiga debut against Eibar. A month later, he made his senior international debut in Nigeria’s 4-2 defeat of Argentina in Krasnodar.
Despite his tender age, it will not be a surprise to learn, that Uzoho is a key figure in his Spanish topflight side.  And ahead of his side’s clash with Celta Vigo, the youngster in a no holds barred interview with LaLiga talks about the Galician derby, the Nigeria national team and other issues.
Q: How would you describe the mood of the city ahead of Saturday’s Galician derby between Deportivo La Coruna and Celta Vigo?
U: The mood in the city is tensed, and everyone is excited and looking forward to the game.
Q: This is a big game, it’s a derby! What is the feeling like among the players?
U: Right now, I would say that the feeling is the same as every game really, although it is a different game altogether because it is a derby, the feeling is still the same. We are fine, we are ready and we feel the same way as against other teams.
Q: Celta Vigo are ahead of Deportivo La Coruna on Laliga table right now. Do you think Deportivo can win this game and of course claim the bragging rights at stake?
U: Of course I believe so. A derby game is not about where you are on the table, it is a different game altogether so I believe and I know that Deportivo will come out victorious on Saturday.
Q: What is your opinion on Celta Vigo as a club and their performance in the Spanish top flight this season?
U: Celta Vigo are a very good and big team, they have good players and more experience. And where they are in the league speaks a lot because they are in a very good position, not in a dangerous one. I feel they are playing good.
Q: You joined Deportivo from Aspire Academy, how will you describe LaLiga as a league and how would you describe the experience?
U: My experience in the league has been incredible. LaLiga is simply the best league in the world, the best players and biggest clubs are here and I’m excited to be a part of it.
Francis Uzoho

Q: Against Argentina, you made your international debut, played for 45 minutes and kept a clean sheet as Nigeria silence La Albiceleste. Do you see yourself getting a chance to represent Nigeria at the World Cup?
U: Of course, I believe if the coaches have confidence in me, and given the chance to play, I will play, and I will do my best in Russia.
Q: How far do you think Nigeria can go at the World Cup?
U: I think Nigeria can go very far because we have a very good team. The best I have seen in a while now from the Nigerian national team.
Q: How would you rate the chances of the other African teams participating at the World Cup next year?
U: Other teams in Africa also have good players and good teams. For example, Morocco did not concede any goal during the qualifiers and I think African countries are going to go very far this time in the World Cup.
Francis Uzoho

Q: Do you think an African country can ever win the World Cup?
U: Yes of course! An African team is going to win the World Cup. Maybe not now definitely, but I hope this time, Nigeria will make that dream come true for Africa.
Q: As a goalkeeper, who were your role models growing up?
Francis Uzoho: I admired Edwin Van der Sar, and Vincent Enyeama.
Q: And any message for your fans and fans of LaLiga all over Africa?
U: I want to thank my fans and I appreciate their support and I urge them to keep supporting, and to keep having faith in me. They should also keep watching LaLiga because it is the best league in the world.

ANTHONY UJAH REJOINS BUNDESLIGA SIDE MAINZ 05

The Nigeria international has left China for a second spell with German side in a contract that runs through till 2021
Mainz 05 have confirmed the capture of Anthony Ujah from Chinese Super League outfit Liaoning FC in an undisclosed three-and-a-half years deal.
Ujah was on the books of the German Bundesliga side in the 2011-12 season before transferring to FC Cologne where he spent three years.
36 goals in 102 appearances for the Billy Goats earned him a move to Werder Bremen where he scored 14 times in 37 competitive duels. And in the summer of 2016, the 27-year-old moved to China to team up with Liaoning.
Swayed by his return to the Opel Arena,  sports director, Rouven Schröder said: "Anthony Ujah is an athletic, determined and strong attacker who has proved his qualities at the Bundesliga level and adds real value to our squad, and he is a great character and will not be due to his Mainz past."We need to make sure that he has decided on a future at Mainz 05."
The striker, excited with the switch, said: "I am very happy that I return to Mainz because I have only good memories of my time there, I am looking forward to the Bundesliga as well and I want to help the team from the second half of the season to reach."
Ujah will team up Super Eagles teammate and defender, Leon Balogun - who already took to Twitter to express delight at the prospect of playing alongside the striker in Sandro Schwarz’s team.
“Oh boi!!! Welcome back in Mainz and to the Bundesliga looking forward to play with you again brother Anthony Ujah,” Balogun tweeted.
“Thanks for the early Christmas present Mainz 05.”
Ujah will be looking forward to adding to his two-goal tally in 12 league appearances for the O-Fives when he starts his second stint in January.
