Men Defend Yourselves Pt5 (Night Calls)

I took a long break from anything that has to do with the opposite sex. i just wanted to be alone so i traveled to spend some time with some folks. You know when you are in the midst of familiar faces you ll definitely forget about your problems.

While in the midst of my family and relatives one of my uncle's wife couldn't stop telling me about this girl called Nwaka. She's beautiful, she's hard working she's this that and that. It became just too much that i had to ask for the girl's number from her friend Evelyn.

From The Call
Thanks to those days of free midnight call from MTN but before then i called and introduced myself and told her i was going to call her from 12:30am. It was easy for me to talk all night because i barely sleep at night though I dont make night call but this time i had to start talking more at night then sleep within the day.

So we started talking.
She was in her 200 Level College of Education Agbor i've forgotten her course but its actually one of those education courses. We used the night calls to know more about each other and as time went by we became acquainted with each other but we didn't see because as at that time school was on break and she was at home with her parents and doesnt want the parents to know about us, well for me i always want the parents of my girl to know about me

We've spent over 4months talking everyday on the phone, chatting, texting so i planned traveling for Easter so we could see, spend more time together before traveling back to Port Harcourt.

I finally traveled down to Delta State to see Nwaka also known as Joy, i got home and called to tell i was in town she quickly rushed  down after some hours. Wow she's indeed a beautiful girl, slim but not too tall, dark skinned with nice sets of teeth when she smiles. You know the chemistry and how it feels when you see someone you've been talking to on the phone for so long, my dad kinda liked her so they got talking while i was trying to fix some chow and drinks for her.

She's not the super intelligent girl but quick to admit what she doesn't know and willing to learn. It wasn't really easy being distant  relationship but i tried my best to make sure all was going smoothly. Well our problem started when my uncle's wife died and i didn't attend the funeral so Evelyn being my girl's friend took it upon herself to make sure she scatters the love between us simply because i didn't attend her grandma's funeral so she cooked up a story that i was seeing some1 and Joy believed her.

I didn't know what was going on till i called my girl as usual and the reception was just out of place, for over one week i was trying to know where and how i offended her till she asked me who was she? I was like who are you talking about? Well to cut short the story i quickly traveled to Delta State to see her but this time school was on break which made it difficult for me to see her not also forgetting that i dont know her village so i waited for school to resume and we ironed out things and went back to PH.

But the spoiler had gone back to destroy the peace between Joy and I so i endured till Christmas. Well the stumbling block was that i don't know her place in her village and she has refused to give me direction but somehow i recalled her conversation with my dad and was able to remember some information they shared, the next day i prepared and went to search for my girl after hours of combing Ubulu Okiti asking questions i finally got to her parents doorstep and The dad was just sitting under the orange tree at the front of the building i approached him and greeted him then asked of Joy, he was curious to know who i was and why i want to see Joy i introduced myself and was ushered into the sitting room and he sent someone to inform Joy that i was around.

Joy met me sitting and was just shocked to see me, well it wasn't really funny because she was in the company of my evil relative who has sworn to scatter the love between us. I didn't really talk much, i only voiced my opinions of things going on, went out to see the dad and offered him a bottle of wine n some cash as a mark on respect and zoomed off.

Later that evening she called to ask me what i discussed with the dad because she was surprised he treated me with much respect beyond her imagination. Well that was the last time i heard from her, the last time i checked she got pregnant for a guy from Agbor and in the village, she latter gave birth to a boy..........
