THE RETURN OF THE LOVE HUNTERS (Battle of love)

Episode 26
A STORY WRITTEN BY BRIGHT DANIEL

“Show your face!” Cassandra repeated angrily but everywhere remained quiet. “I don’t know who you are but I’m greater than you!” She added.
“Hmm.. Really?” the voice came out from the wall again. “The little book in your hand makes you feel more than what you are, little witch. I am the god of the hunters! No one can defeat me!”
“Let’s see about that” Cassandra opened the book which refused to bring up light again. She didn’t mind but kept speaking in Kalish. Jackson watched her used all her strength and voice speaking like never before with her eyes closed. After she was through, she opened her eyes just to see nothing happening, so she became more angry and the book fell off from her hand.
“Hohohohoho” the voice laughed from the wall. “Now you can see your little book is of no use here, little witch. Is time for my own abracadabra” Just then, Jackson began to vanish.
“Cassandra, help me!” he shouted.
Cassandra turned just to see only his head remaining to disappear. She couldn’t do anything but to behold until Jackson finally disappeared. She looked at the wall and saw him hanging upside down just like the other people.
“Now, watch me kill them one after the other before killing you, little witch” the voice said.
A boy and a girl were the first followed by Amaya, Francisco, Jesse and Jackson who was the last. Cassandra watched them hanging in roll on the wall. Suddenly, the first boy screamed when he saw his body swollen up and eventually busted then his pieces fell on the floor. He died.
“Nooo!” Cassandra shouted breathing heavily and sweating variously.
“Ssshh, is not yet time to shout, little witch” the voice said.
After the boy died, the girl was the next person to die. Tears ran out from Cassandra’s eyes seeing such an innocent and beautiful girl crying and begging to live. She wanted to go and rescue her physically but couldn’t get to the wall because there was an invisible and invincible demarcation between her and the wall. So she watched the girl got busted too and the pieces of her body fell on the floor. She died.
“Hohohoho” the voice laughed again. “Why do you cry little witch? Why can’t you speak to your little book to save them, you little witch?”
The next person to die was Amaya and Cassandra was already mad. She stepped backward without knowing what to do.
“Cassandra, please don’t allow him to kill me” Amaya pleaded in a low voice.
“Quiet! And say good bye to your little witch” the voice rebuked her.
“No, no, please..” Amaya began to cry. Just then, Cassandra closed her eyes remembering what her late mother told her through Granny why the book did work: IT’S BECAUSE YOU ARE TOO HARD ON YOURSELF MY CHILD. YOU ONLY HAVE TO CALM DOWN AND ACCEPT THAT WHICH YOU WERE BORN TO DO! ANGER SOLVES NOTHING.
After remembering that, Cassandra opened her eyes and stretched her hands forward then the book rise from the floor to her hands. It opened by itself and shone a red light then Cassandra began to speak in Kalish again. As she spoke, her eyes closed. Suddenly, the whole building began to vibrate. Jackson and others found themselves released from the wall. Only Jackson had a little strength in him while others were looking tired.
“Amaya, Come on, we have to go now!” Jackson turned to the other girl. “Jesse?” he called. He looked at Francisco but didn’t know him. He began to drag all of them up towards Cassandra. After that, the precious stone hanging in the air fell down and the wall broke into two thereby killing the unknown spirit. Cassandra opened her eyes just to see Jackson and others behind her, so she moved forward to pick the stone leaving the book hanging in the air.
“Where are you going?! Let’s get out of here!” Jackson shouted feeling the vibration of the building. Cassandra returned after picking the stone and held Jackson’s hand. Seeing that, nobody reminded Jackson to hold others hands too, then Cassandra began to speak in Kalish again. Within few seconds they found themselves out of the building. Yet, the ground was still shaking like an earthquake. Cassandra closed the book and said to Jackson, “Take them to the car! Leave here now!!”
“What about you?!” Jackson asked.
“I have to break the curse permanently!” Cassandra replied then Jackson and others began to run feeling the vibration of the ground….
