Episode 6
A STORY WRITTEN BY BRIGHT DANIEL
Jesse’s bodyguard waited
patiently for them to go back home. He stood erect spacing into the sky.
Darkness took over the city except light from buildings and streets which made
everywhere lively. Jesse was still looking at Geto romantically while Amaya left
Jackson to call Cassandra.
“You are nice too” Jesse told Geto smiling. “I guess is time to go home” she wanted to stand up but Geto held her back.
“Will i see you again?” he asked.
“I guess so” Jesse smiled again then gently stood up followed by the bodyguards. As she wanted to enter inside her car, she glanced back at Geto who was still staring at her then smiled and finally entered.
Amaya was still in her underwears standing at the edge of the pool with her phone on the ear. She brought it down and looked at the information displayed on the screen; NUMBER BUSY. “Oh, mine!” she exclaimed silently…

DANIEL’S RESIDENT
All the guys there watched Cassandra as she placed the phone on her ear. They totally became conscious and suspicious of any little movement and sound.
“Hello, mother” Cassandra began on the phone.
“Cassandra, there is a problem” Mrs Jonas, her step mother said.
“What problem?” Cassandra asked then everybody began to look at each other and stared at Cassandra again.
“The book.. the book..” Mrs Jonas stammered.
“The book what?”
“The book is making noise and..”
“And what?!”
“And indicating light”
“Alright, calm down mother, I’ll be there now. Don’t go near the book. I repeat, don’t” she cut the call then looked at everybody silently. “My mother just called” she began while others listened carefully. “She said the book is making noise”
“What does that suppose to mean?” Daniel asked.
“I don’t know” they remained quiet again.
“I think we should let the citizens of Kali to know about this” Nelly suggested.
“No, not yet” Cassandra objected.
“Why?”
“Coz we aren’t sure of our gestures”
“Now what?” Hector asked.
“You go back insearch of your stone while i discover the real cause of these strange development and what or who they are” Cassandra replied.

Jackson came out from the pool To meet Amaya who had dressed up setting on a chair with a plastic table before her. He also dressed up, took another chair and sat opposite her. Just before they started, Geto came around. “I’ll be on my way home now”
“Really?” Jackson asked.
“Yes”
“Alright” they shook hands while Amaya waved at him with smiles on her face before he left. Now, it was Amaya and Jackson remaining at the table looking at each other silently.
“You are behaving strange” Amaya broke the silence.
“How?” Jackson asked.
“You stare a lot”
“Yes, i know but only do that to pretty things”
“What do you mean?”
Jackson gradually held her hand on the table making Amaya’s heart beat faster again. “I stare at you coz you are pretty and…” he paused. Amaya kept looking at him expecting to hear the completion of his sentence but she never did. Just then, Cassandra arrived.
“My cousin is here” Amaya gradually withdrew her hand and stood up while Jackson glanced back. “Is Cassandra your cousin?” he asked.
“Yes, bye”
“Can i have your number?”
“Yes” Amaya replied as an afterthought. She called the number once then smiled out while Jackson stared at her.

Nelikita wanted to take a taxi home. As she was waiting for one beside the road, Hector carried her and sped off immediately. Within a twinkle of an eye, she found herself inside their sittingroom. The sittingroom had white light at different angles. One could see drinks at the bar and pictures on the wall. Jesse wore a trouser and a white top with cover-shoes. “You are so annoying!” she shouted at Hector who collapsed on a cushion. “I never told you to carry me home! You aren’t my cab!”
“Well, i have done it” Hector looked at her. “You have to realise I’m your elder brother so mind the way you talk to me”
“Elder brother my foot!” Nelly angrily entered his room just to see the bed scattered and the box of stone on the floor. Then she became more angry and went back to the parlour again to find Hector making a romantic phone call with another girl, so she folded her hands and shook her head negatively.

As Cassandra headed back with Amaya, so as Lawson went back home to his wife, Ruth. He found her in the kitchen preparing dinner but didn’t say anything. Ruth noticed he wasn’t in a good mood so she drew closer to him. “Honey, you look sad. Anything the matter?”
“Another problem is arising in the city” Lawson replied.
“What problem?”
“I think the love hunters are coming back”
“What?! How?”
“No one knows. I think Cassandra will find out and why” immediately, Ruth became scared. Lawson could see it, so he stood up and held her two cheeks. “Don’t be scared baby, be strong, okay?” he hugged her.

The girl regarded as a prostitute who took the precious stone got to the middle of a lonely dark road and turned into an old scary man then vanished into the darkness.
