Episode 18
A STORY WRITTEN BY BRIGHT DANIEL
Isabella’s mother cried bitterly
with the body of her daughter in her arms while Cassandra gently stood up
drying her tears. She was frustrated to see such a young beautiful girl die of
what she knows nothing about. “Why?” she thought and glanced at Isabella’s dead
body again before she slowly went out. Immediately she got out, her steps
changed from slow to fast. One could detect a serious anger in her as she
opened her car door, entered and slammed it close. She started it and drove off
with a high powerful speed to the extent the tires of the car smoked in motion.

Mrs Jonas and Amaya were in the sittingroom when Cassandra forcefully entered then pushed the door of her room with a force. They startled and became scared. At their very eyes, Cassandra came out with the book walking briskly.
“Cassandra, what’s going on!” the mother shouted but she never said anything as she walked out of the house, back to her car. She threw the book into the car through the front glass then entered. The tires smoked again before moving.
“Aunt, where is she going?” Amaya asked Mrs Jonas as they stood beside the door but she didn’t reply rather picked her phone to call Daniel.

Geto walked briskly with all his body covered as if there was a falling snow in the city. He wore an ash jean trouser with white canvas. On his body was a black voluminous jacket which also had a cap he used for covering his head. He knocked at Jackson’s door then opened it without permission. The house was empty, he couldn’t find anybody, so he shouted, “Jackson! Jack!”
“Hey bro!” Jackson came from behind. “Why shouting my name?!” he moved closer to shake Geto but he left his hand hanging in the air.
“Guy, my Granny is fricking me out” Geto sat down.
“What do you mean?” Jackson sat opposite him.
“I think my Granny needs serious attention”
“Is she dying?”
“No! She’s getting mad!”
“Jeez!”
“She keeps saying things that are not making sense to me about the curse of the deadly mark. Can you believe that she said the curse will keep on hunting us if it’s not broken with a blood!”
“What?! Whose blood and how?”
“I don’t know! The only thing she says is that Cassandra knows all”
Jackson stood up sharply. “Then what are we waiting for?! We have to tell Cassandra about this so that she will break the curse”
“That’s right” Geto thought for a while. “But do you think Cassandra knows how to break the curse and whose blood to use then refused to do it? Is it possible?”
“What are you insinuating?” Jackson asked.
“What i mean is that Cassandra doesn’t know how to break the curse either, otherwise she would have done it”
“That’s true” Jackson also thought for a while. “But we need to tell her first”
“Okay” they began to moved towards the door. Just at the door, Jackson sighted a mark on Geto’s back then said, “Wait!”
“What?” Geto turned.
Jack raised his jacket slightly upward then stared at him sadly.
“What is it?” Geto was still inquisitive.
“You have the deadly mark” Jackson replied…

Cassandra drove far away from home to their old house located at a nearby bush which is also the place she found the book. She brought the book out and threw it inside the local house with a fallen roof. The day was getting dark each minutes.
“I’m tired!” Cassandra began to shout standing in front of the house. “You are no use to me! I don’t want both the book and your powers anymore. How can i watch an innocent child die of the sin she never committed!” she began to cry. “How can i break the curse, and know whose blood to be used? Take mine! Kill me! I’m ready to sacrifice my blood for the innocent souls to live!” she continued in tears…

Daniel arrived immediately after Mrs Jonas called him. She opened the door forcefully looking at every angle. He didn’t see anybody but Mrs Jonas and Amaya. “Where is Cassandra?” he asked. Just then Lawson also came in always with a gun. “Where is she!” he also asked.
“I don’t know. That’s why i called both of you. She angrily drove out” Mrs Jonas replied.
“She also took the book with her” Amaya added.
Lawson began to think. “I think i know where she is”
“Where?” Daniel asked.
“Their old building. Come on, follow me!” they ran out.
Few seconds after that, Jackson and Geto arrived. They weren’t looking happy. Geto sadly sat on the cushion with his hands folded because he knew he would die at any moment from then. Only Jackson interrogated Mrs Jonas without noticing Amaya’s presence.
“Where is Cassandra?” he began.
“Why asking?”
“My friend has the mark and she’s the only one who can break the curse!”
“How do u know?”
“My grandma said so” Geto interfered from the cushion. “She said a blood is needed to break the curse”
Mrs Jonas became surprise. “Who is ur grandmother?” she asked but something happened:

Amaya’s body began to fade.
“What is happening to me?!” she shouted as her body began vanish gradually. “Jackson, help me!”
Before Jackson could run to her, she disappeared..
