Episode 15
A STORY WRITTEN BY BRIGHT DANIEL
Lawson was all alone standing at
an open place with two guns in his hands. He stretched both hands as if he was
about to be crucified on the cross of Calvary. He was actually enjoying the
hunt shooting at the hunters continuously. He wore a trouser which had a belt
hung from the waist to his shoulder like an old school headmaster. Two hunters
angrily and hungrily ran toward him but he shot them few metres away. “Sorry,
baby!” he exclaimed.

Even policemen were protecting and taking cover at every angle of the city. Their cars could be seen parked and shone different colours of light. DPO Cane sighted Cassandra and Kelly as he stood beside a police car without knowing a hunter was behind him. Even Cassandra saw him but never wanted to get closer to him because he might accuse her to be the cause of everything. But she was forced to run to save him when the hunter finally grabbed DPO Cane and hit him continuously on the car. His gun fell off. “Who de hell are you and what do you want?!” Cane shouted looking at the scary hunter.
“I want the book of the little watch” the hunter replied. Then, DPO Cane realised they were book hunters. Suddenly, Cassandra shot the hunter dead thereby saving DPO Cane’s life. “Are you okay, DPO?” she asked.
“Never been better” Cane picked his gun and looked at Cassandra suspiciously. “These are book hunters, right?”
“Yes, DPO” Cassandra replied without looking at him as she moved away from him.
“Stop there!” Cane commanded then she stopped and slowly turned. “You have so many explanations to do”
“What explantation?”
“You must be crazy asking me that stupid question! You made us believe that the curse of the deadly make was broken and now it’s still hunting us. Not only that, the book hunters are here again for your magic book. And you look into my face and asked ‘what explanation?'”
Cassandra became angry and speechless staring at the DPO. “You know what Mr DPO, Fuck you!” she turned immediately and went away. But she couldn’t believe what she saw: the hunters were running away and the weather getting back to normal. Just then, Kelly met her breathing heavily. “Hey, i guess we’ve won the war” he said but Casandra kept quiet and began to walk away. “Hey what’s happening?”
“What’s happening is that I’m going back home” Cassandra replied and angrily gave him her gun. Then Kelly became more surprise wondering the cause of her anger.

Daniel and Grace were still fighting few hunters at another side of the city. The were very close to each other shooting continuously but Grace suddenly stopped.
“What?” Daniel asked.
“The hunters are running away” she replied then Daniel examined her observation.
“I guess we’ve won the war” he said.
“Yes, we have”
“Come on, let’s get out of here” Daniel concluded then they began to walk back to their car semutanuoisly. Grace glanced at him in admiration and said, “I never knew you are this strong”
“I should be telling you that” Daniel smiled.
“Cassandra must be lucky”
“Excuse me?”
“You heard me” they remained quiet and entered into the car. Grace glanced at him again as she put the key in the ignition. “Wait, i want you to get something right, i don’t have any feelings for you anymore so don’t think…”
“I never said so!” Daniel interrupted immediately then she started the car and drove off. Still on their way, Grace was still glancing at him quietly. They could see dead hunters on the floor and policemen trying to take them off.
“Wait again” Grace began. “How come Hector lost his precious stone?” she asked.
“Hum.. hum..” Daniel stammered. He knew he shouldn’t tell her otherwise they will be a serious trouble between her and Hector. “Why can’t you ask him?” he said.
“And why can’t you tell me?”
“Because i don’t know”
“Oh, really?” Grace suspected something. Just then, they met Lawson on the way who they carried at the back seat. He could see both of them quiet without saying anything.
“I’m glad both of you are safe!” Lawson said.
“Lawson, how come Hector lost his precious stone?” Grace asked from the driver seat looking at Lawson from the front mirror of the car.
“Excuse me?” Lawson pretended as if he didn’t hear her.
“How did Hector loss his stone?”
“Hum.. it would be better if you ask him yourself”
“Really?” Grace smiled bitterly.

MRS JONAS RESIDENT
All came back successfully standing in cycle again. Ruth hugged Lawson her husband and stood beside him while Jackson was still standing with Amaya.
“I wanna ask a question” Grace broke the silence and all looked at her. “How did the precious stone get missing?” everybody became quiet while Hector began to scratch his head. “Have u all suddenly gone dumb?!”
“Hum.. Grace, that isn’t necess..”
“Shut up!” Grace interrupted Cassandra then quietly moved towards Hector and stood before him looking into his eyes. “Since nobody knows how u lost the stone, i guess you should know. So tell me, how did u lost the stone?” everywhere became quiet..
